eBloc Tower now fully completed
Monday, Jun 29, 2009

The 12-story mid-rise office building, the eBloc Tower has been completed and is expected to address the need for more office space for business process outsourcing (BPO) companies and retail stores in Cebu.

The first among many projects to be pushed for Cebu's twin-win industries: information and communication technology and tourism, the eBloc Tower is a project by Asian I-Office Properties Inc. (AIO). The AIO is a special purpose vehicle created with the efforts and resources of Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corporation (CPVDC) and Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) corporate business group.

CPVDC and ALI officials conducted a simple blessing last June 24, 2009. The said blessing was officiated by Mabolo parish priest Father Nilo Nemensio.

Premier location
Located along Jose Del Mar Avenue in Phase- 1 of Asiatown IT Park, eBloc Tower sits on a 4, 432-square meter lot near Globe Telecom Tower, Skyrise and CJRS buildings. The project is envisioned to become a premiere location for BPO, IT, and ITES business locators.

Building highlights
The eBloc Tower boasts of important provisions and amenities such as: 100% power back-up supply, dual piping system, redundant telecommunication facilities, seven (7) elevators (one service elevator plus six passenger elevators), centralized chilled water air-conditioning system, CCTV and access controls; a delivery bay, a modern porte-cochere, two smoking balconies on each leaseable floor, and ground floor retail area with al fresco dining areas.

In addition, the building has 323 parking slots for retail and offices.

Environmental sustainable design
The building is also a proud manifestation of environmental sustainable design practices through its water-saving dual piping system and rainwater collection tank to save on water consumption.  It also employs waterless urinals and other water-saving toilet fixtures.

The eBloc Tower has a segregated garbage collection area; service and utilities provisions; cleaning gondola, and access to centralized sewage treatment plant in Asiatown IT Park (AITP). This sewage treatment plant, which treats wastewater from the commercial operations of the park, is one of the only two fully-operational waste treatment plants in the Philippines.

The Asiatown IT Park is conceived as a well-planned IT economic zone and modern trading hub with global gateway. The 24-hectare integrated mixed-use business park was approved in April of 2000 by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority Board as an economic zone, and was declared as an Information Technology Special Economic Zone in 2001.
